Learning is a basic function of all humans. It involves problem-solving abilities in areas such as literature, mathematics, science and history.
Understanding how people learn can be crucial to the actual learning process. The way we learn varies according to who we are and what stage of life we are in. For example, how we learned when we were infants, is not the same of how we learn as adults. Similarly, learning for a professional or expert is different than learning for a student or amateur.
Knowing and adapting to the way people learn can aid in successful training. If a teacher wants to teach her class of fifth graders he or she must first fully comprehend how a child at that age consumes information.
In order to get the most out of every individual, it is important for a community to be taught correctly. A boss that instructs their employee in the right way will have more success and be able to utilize that employee’s strength to their advantage.
Cal State University Fullerton where learning is preeminent realizes the magnitude of learning and will be contributing to the community as part of its 50th anniversary. This upcoming fall of 2007, Titan Communications will be proud to produce an in-depth television documentary on learning and how we learn. The documentary will allow audiences to gain familiarity and wisdom about the learning process that can be applied to their day to day life.
