Positions available for On The Edge
Producer - Person in charge and gets the job done from beginning to end. The producer contacts crew and schedules shoots, as well as oversee the project.
Segment Producer - Is both the Producer/Reporter who is in charge of finding interesting stories, recruits/contacts people to get involved (cameraman, editor, etc), schedules the shoot, checks out video equipment. Completes the project and meets standard for production values.
Director (Single camera) - Is in charge of camera, talent, and lighting positions, also responsible for handling equipment (audio, etc). The director calls the shots and executes the story.
Director (Multi-camera) - Is responsible for calling the shots for multi-camera shoots, live-to-tape productions or field productions. Directs 1 to 3 camera operators as well as Tech Dir., Tape Operation, and Audio.
Camera Operators - In charge of operating multi-cameras in the studio as well as single camera for location tapings, while ensuring quality composition, footage, and framing.
Audio - In charge of microphones, audio cables, and audio mixers as well as ensuring quality sound.
Audio Production Editor - In charge of recording, audio mixing, and editing. Uses various audio formats.
Lighting - In charge of setting up lights for remote and studio production for quality video production, as well as set design and preparation.
Video Editor - In charge of capturing footage, editing, audio mixing, and outputting to tape and creating graphics as well as special effects and animation.
Reporter - Researching material for radio and video projects, contacting parties involved, writing scripts, presenting the story for television or radio segments.
Advertising sales - Research local market, presentation, preparation of concept from visualization to execution, may include ad sales as well, for both radio and television.
Floor Manager - In charge of communication between director, talent and production staff during live taping.
Production Assistant - Assists with studio and remote production. Setting up equipment, lighting gear, audio equipment, set design, etc.
Tech Director - In charge of switching video for live studio taping. Working closely with the director as director calls the shots, and assists with effects and video setting.
Video Tape Operator - In charge of recording video and audio signal and meeting quality standards, also keeping track of time, and tape logs.
